  • Pastor Jen Hodson, Senior Pastor

    Rev. Jennifer Hodson

    Senior Pastor

    Pastor Jennifer is excited and passionate about the call that God has placed on the life of Bryan Community Church to love God, love people, and share Christ's hope with the world. She celebrates this new church plant that began just a few short years ago (2022). Jennifer is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and has been serving as a pastor since 2009. She began her ministry in Berkeley Springs, WV, served in Frostburg, MD, and has been serving in Texas since 2017. She has an MDiv. from Wesley Theological Seminary and is pursuing her Ph.D. in leadership at Texas A&M University. Whoop! Jennifer has embraced her mission field in Bryan/College Station and sees God at work in people all over the community. Jennifer sits on the board of Chosen, a home health care ministry, volunteers with Bryan ISD, and is a chaplain at the Bryan Police Department. Jennifer's ministry is inspired and supported by her husband and two incredible little girls.

    Adult Ministries

    Rev. Shelby Rowan looks forward to each and every teaching opportunity that comes her way and thoroughly enjoys the Adult Sunday School Class and the Wednesday Evening Bible Studies. She is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for Bryan Community Church. This year marks the 70th anniversary of, in her words, ‘teaching something to someone.’ She began teaching the primary class in her childhood country church in Michigan at age 14 and since then has taught all ages in twenty-some locations having married a career Army man. She attended the University of Michigan, has a Bachelor of Education from Michigan State University, a Master of Education Administration from Drury University, Springfield, Missouri, Post-Graduate Certification from Perkins School ofTheology and is an ordained United Methodist Minister of Education.She has two adult daughters, a deceased son,seven adult grandchildren and 5 and 1/4 great-grandchildren. She loves to read,sew and craft.She is active in the local Texas Research Ramblers Genealogical Society and is the Genealogical Consultant for the Star of the Republic Museum at Washington-on-the-BrazosState Park.

  • Rev Lisa Calloway, Missions

    Rev. Lisa Callaway

    Missions Coordinator

    Rev. Lisa Callaway recently retired as an Elder in the United Methodist Church and moved to the Bryan/College Station area. Lisa has an MDiv from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary and prior to retirement, she served for thirty years as the pastor of churches in Sugar Land, Beaumont and Houston, Texas. Retirement has brought opportunities to spend more time with her two adult children and their families which include her four grandchildren. After visiting several area churches, she chose to worship with Bryan Community Church because of its obvious passion for serving this community. It was through mission trips serving the underserved that Lisa’s faith and call to ministry was both confirmed and reignited over and over. She is excited to help coordinate mission ministries with the many dedicated members of BCC who LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE and SHARE HOPE as they serve others living into Jesus’ reminder in Matthew 25:40-45 that when we serve the least, we serve him.

  • Sara Hadley & Karl Brinkmann, Worship Team

    Worship Team

    This dynamic father-daughter duo brings a wealth of experience and passion to their ministry through music. By day, Karl works in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Texas A&M University, but his true heart lies in his family, music, and God. His daughter, Sara, is a dedicated wife, mother, and Lolli (her fun, modern term for grandmother). When she’s not serving in her church, Sara leads and supports the local nonprofit ministry Chosen. Together, this duo combines decades of musical experience to inspire and touch hearts, praying that every note played and every song sung brings people closer to God's love and grace.

    Cross Generational Coordinator

    Regan has been a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. Regan has two sons, Callum and Carter, and a supportive husband, Brody. Regan serves as the Cross Generational Coordinator for Bryan Community Church. This role includes all ages who walk in the doors of BCC, but is focusing on children's ministry, community groups, and our retired persons. Regan is very excited for what God is calling Bryan Community Church to do in our community.

  • Kelli Griffin, Student Ministry

    Student Ministries

    At Lakeview Methodist conference center when she was in the 7th grade, Kelli first felt the call to youth ministry. She proceeded to follow that calling in college at Sam Houston State as the youth director for FUMC Huntsville as sophomore. After graduation, Kelli began her full time ministry at Montgomery UMC and then went to Spring Woods UMC. After moving to Bryan, she started her career in Real Estate, which she still does today. After the conception of BCC, Kelli felt God push her and say "It's time to go back to the Youth Ministry". She is captivated by each of the teenagers and is excited about the ministry and what God is doing in their lives.

    Debbie Eller grew up in the Episcopal church and joined the United Methodist Church after marrying Jimmy, a lifelong Methodist. She has been active her entire life in service and recently retired from the City of College Station after 26 years of public service. Debbie volunteers with multiple ministries and loves to help in the kitchen. She currently serves as the Board Chair for BCC. In addition to serving Christ, she enjoys spending time with her family and the country life!

    Rose Cates has been a lifelong Methodist with a deep commitment to serving her church community. Over the years, she has taken on various roles, including teaching, cooking, serving as President of the BCC Ladies Group, and a multitude of other jobs, assisting wherever needed. Her dedication and willingness to help in any way make her an invaluable part of the church. As a proud member of Bryan Community Church, Rose is passionate about contributing to its growth and fostering a welcoming environment for all.

    Men's Group & Building Maintenance

    George is BCC’s amazing Men’s Coordinator and Building Maintenance Manager. George is married to the love of his life, Michelle. They are active members in the church and have a heart of service. George leads the men’s group for BCC and encourages any man to join them at IHOP in Bryan on Wednesday mornings at 6:30am.

    Barbara Morton

    By day, Barbara works as the eCommerce Director for YellowWebMonkey Web Design. She traveled the world as a military spouse, then returned to her hometown in Bryan when her husband retired from the Army. Barbara built and maintains the church website, manages BCC social media, teaches Confirmation Class and volunteers with the Ladies Group, Children’s and Youth ministries.

    Lily Robinson is currently a Business Student at Texas A&M University studying Human Resource Management. She serves as BCC’s Personnel and Administrative Assistant, where she provides organizational and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
